Friendly Notice to Vendors of Telecommunications Equipment and Internet Services
Selling equipment only (for example, satellite terminals, routers) → No TRA Operating License needed.
Providing or reselling services or subscriptions (for example, managing internet or data plans, arranging satellite connectivity, billing on behalf of customers) → TRA Operating License required under FSM law. The usual pathway is a Class License for resale.
We welcome businesses that want to enter the telecommunications market, including those that sell equipment. There is no TRA licensing requirement for equipment-only sales. If you also offer connectivity or manage subscriptions, please get licensed first to comply with the law before resuming those activities. We look forward to working with you.
